Welcoming New Faculty

Please welcome the newest members of the Newark Academy faculty.
As we begin the 2013-2014 academic year, please welcome the newest members of the Newark Academy faculty:
 
ARTS
Kevin Bunch joins us as a Technical Theatre teacher. He recently relocated from Nevada and has extensive professional theatre experience. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati.
 
Justin Milani joins Newark Academy as a Film teacher after working at the Gill St. Bernard’s School. He earned his B.A. from Drew University.
 
 
ENGLISH
Jessica DeSanta will teach Upper School English. She earned her B.A. at Connecticut College and her Master of Letters from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. She is pursuing a doctoral degree at St. Andrews as well. She recently taught at Immaculate Heart Academy.
 
Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick is a Peace Corps veteran, having served in Nicaragua. She joins NA to teach 7th and 9th grade English after teaching at Wilmington Friends School in Delaware. She holds a B.A. from Colgate University and a Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
 
Vanessa Jimenez Gabb holds a B.A. from Tufts University, an M.A. from St John’s University, and a Master of Fine Arts from CUNY Brooklyn College. She recently served as adjunct associate professor at St. John’s University.
 
Marina Graham earned her Master of Philosophy degree from Columbia University, her M.S. from Oxford University and her M.A from Edinburgh University. She has taught at the undergraduate level at Columbia University.
 

HUMANITIES
Peter Reed comes to NA from the Boston University Academy. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Iowa, and an M.A. from Yale University. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Yale University.

 
LANGUAGES
Lynne Barker will be teaching Upper School Spanish. She taught for many years at Tabor Academy and St. Mark’s School, both in Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an M.A. from Columbia University.
 
Dr. Moussa Fall holds M.A. degrees from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop, in Dakar, Senegal; and from the University of Iowa. He also earned his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. He recently taught at the undergraduate level at the University of South Dakota and the University of Iowa. He joins NA to teach Middle and Upper School French.
 
Kristen Mulvoy Williams earned her B.A. from Boston College and her M.A. from Columbia University. She comes to NA to teach Middle and Upper School French after teaching for many years at The Nightingale-Bamford School in New York City.
 
Alexis Romay holds a B.A. in Art Education from Cuba’s Havana University and an M.A. In Spanish Language and Literature from City College of New York. He has served as an editor for McGraw-Hill Education and a translator on multiple projects. He will be teaching Upper School Spanish.
