Acclaimed dancer Jonathan Lee spent a week at NA as this year’s Artist in Residence.

Jonathan Lee has worked with recording artists including Grammy Award winners Madonna, Gloria Estefan, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears as a backup singer, dancer and choreographer. His theatre credits include The Wiz, West Side Story, The King and I, and Miss Saigon. He teaches hip-hop at The Ailey Extension, Steps on Broadway and Dance New Amsterdam in New York City. 

Lee taught dance, theatre and creative writing classes during the week of February 23. To cap off the week, Lee and guest artist, former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater star Amos J. Machanic Jr. collaborated on the concept and choreography for a new work, Justice, which they performed at an all-school Morning Meeting.
