Senior Sydney Persing signed on the dotted line, committing to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a fencer this fall.

Sydney found her sport at Newark Academy. She joined the fencing team in ninth grade and eventually ascended to team captain. She was joined by her family, friends, coaches and teachers as she signed her formal Letter of Intent.
