Congressional Honors

NA brings home 11 awards from Yale Model Congress.
Newark Academy's Model Congress fulfilled their patriotic duty, traveling to New Haven to serve in the 21st annual Yale Model Congress. At the four-day governmental simulation, NA students successfully debated in all three branches of government - Executive, Legislative and Judicial. Organized by Yale undergraduates, the conference gives high school students an opportunity to debate current national and international issues with other students from across the country.

Under the leadership of NA faculty members Maria Teresa McNeilly-Anta, Cathy Pursell, Dan Erlandson, and Kerri Speck – the Minuteman delegation garnered 11 impressive awards.
