Journalist and author Stephen Baker was the second NA Global Speaker of the year.

For ten years, Baker was a senior technology writer at BusinessWeek, based in Paris and New York. He also served as a correspondent, based in cities including Mexico City, Caracas and Madrid. He has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and The Boston Globe.
Baker is the author of two non-fiction books, The Numerati, and Final Jeopardy—Man vs. Machine and the Quest to Know Everything. He recently published his first novel, The Boost, a dystopian thriller set in the year 2072.
Baker was born in the Philadelphia area, graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and earned his master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He lives with his family in Montclair.
