About the NJAJE Competition
The New Jersey State Jazz Band Festival is a statewide competition for high school jazz bands. In March of each year, 45-50 high school jazz bands compete in a preliminary round. The top nine bands in each of three divisions then move on to compete again in the state finals for each division in April.
