Making His Move
Roshan Idnani '21 to compete in chess world championships.
Roshan Idnani ’21 has qualified to play in the 2015 World Youth Chess Championships in Halkidiki, Greece, in October.
Roshan will compete in the Under 12 Section. He is already a top-rated player in his age group in the United States. This year, Roshan and brother Taran, also in sixth grade at Newark Academy, both earned the "Expert" title conferred by United States Chess Federation. Taran and Roshan represented Newark Academy as a two-man team at chess nationals last winter.
