The Process and Importance of Fit

In many ways, the college counseling process begins as soon as a student enrolls. As they work with teachers, advisors, administrators, and coaches, our students begin a process of self-discovery that will help inform their college choices.

During their junior year, students and parents meet with an assigned college counselor, attend on-campus seminars run by top college admission officers, and begin to shape a college list that, based on self-reflection and solid research, offers the best opportunities for finding a great “fit.” Once they have this list, counselors help students consider finances and other factors that could impact their choice—empowering each student to make the best decision.
