Building for Belonging
By any measure, Newark Academy holds a position of strength among the nation’s top private day schools. This strength does not exist by happenstance but as a result of conscientious long-term planning and persistent execution of those plans. NA’s comprehensive strategic planning process is undertaken every three-to-five years and is led by the Board of Trustees.
Newark Academy’s current Strategic Plan (2019-2023), entitled Building for Belonging, focuses broadly on four priorities: people, educational programs, community engagement and institutional strength.
Anchored in the accomplishments of the preceding strategic plan, Building for Belonging features ambitious and inspiring initiatives – from the expansion of financial assistance to a new emphasis on skills-based learning at all grade levels.
