• What is the admission process for international applicants?

  All international students must submit the same Online Admission Form and materials as a domestic applicant. Students currently living outside the Northern New Jersey area will be able to conduct the required student interview via online video conferencing.

• Do you accept mid-year applicants?

  Newark Academy does not accept mid-year applications.

• Are there residential requirements? Do you have dorms or offer a host family program?

  As a day school, Newark Academy does not provide housing or make residential arrangements for students. Newark Academy views education as a partnership between school and family and all enrolled students must live with at least one parent, immediate family member, or legal guardian.

• Does Newark Academy issue I-20 student visas

  No, Newark Academy does not issue I-20 student visas.

• Do you offer any English as a Second Language (ESL) support?

  Newark Academy does not provide ESL support. The expectation is that English is read and spoken fluently by all students, and, consequently, testing of English as a non-primary language is not part of the Newark Academy application process such as TOEFL, SLEP or other tests. Students must submit a score for either the SSAT or ISEE exam.

• Do you offer financial aid to international students?

  No, we do not offer financial aid to international students. Students and families applying for financial aid must be paying U.S. taxes.

• Do you set quotas for accepting students from different regions or countries?

  No, we do not set quotas. However, we do look for diversity within our international and overall student population, and we welcome applications from all students
