Newark Scholars Program
Newark Academy continues to honor and celebrate its long-standing history and connection with the city of Newark. One of the many ways in which we do this is through The Newark Scholars Program, which was established in 2012 thanks to the generosity of a loyal alumnus.
Since its founding in 1774, Newark Academy has provided students from across the region with a welcoming atmosphere in which to grow and learn. NA’s first four campuses were located in Newark, and students from the city filled our halls and classrooms. Since 1964, when Newark Academy’s Board of Trustees relocated the school to Livingston, Newark Academy has committed itself to maintaining its historic connection to the city of Newark.
Today, NA remains proud of its ties to Newark and seeks to provide talented students from our namesake city with the very best independent school education. Thanks to the generosity of a loyal alumnus, NA established the Newark Scholars Program in 2012 to provide full scholarships to up to six students each year who live in or attend school in Newark.

If you live in or attend school in the City of Newark and complete our Admission and Financial Aid applications, you will be considered for our Newark Scholars Program, which covers the full cost of tuition, other school-related expenses, and further academic and social support throughout a student's time at Newark Academy.
