Mock Trial Team Preview and Celebration
On January 9, Newark Academy hosted a Mock Trial Celebration featuring a preview of the 2026 Mock Trial Team. Students presented an abbreviated courtroom case before a jury of alumni, parents, and friends, who deliberated and delivered a verdict at the conclusion of the trial. The evening celebrated the 35-year legacy of Newark Academy’s Mock Trial program and honored Judge Leo Gordon ’69 for 20 years of dedicated leadership. Matt Mandel ’90 and George Brandley ’03 were also acknowledged for their generous time and mentorship of Mock Trial students.
