Boys' Golf Ready to Tee Off for 2026 Season

The Newark Academy boys’ golf team enters the 2026 season after a strong 13-5 record last spring. The Minutemen will look to build on that success as they return a group of experienced players and compete again in a challenging conference schedule.

Head coach Robin Curtis returns to lead the program. The team will be captained this season by Nathan Scheck ’26, Kieran O'Keefe ’27 and Jaiden Shah ’27, who will help guide the Minutemen both on and off the course.

Newark Academy brings back several All-Super Essex Conference players from last season. Scheck returns after earning All-SEC American Division First Team honors. Shah was named All-SEC American Second Team, while O'Keefe received All-SEC American Honorable Mention recognition. 

The Minutemen will need to replace a major contributor following the graduation of Arjun Caprihan ’25, who earned All-SEC American Division First Team and All Non-Public North Second Team honors. Caprihan also served as a team captain last season alongside Benedikt Guth ’25.

The Minutemen will compete this spring in the Super Essex Conference American Division against Livingston, Seton Hall Prep, Millburn, West Essex, Montclair and Montclair Kimberley Academy. They will also play crossover matches against Cedar Grove and Nutley from the Liberty Division.
