In her sixth year of service at Newark Academy, Lisa Grider oversees NA’s communications and marketing, alumni relations and fundraising. Her 25-year career is anchored in service to educational organizations, including Texas Christian University, Baylor University Medical Center and Seton Hall University. Immediately prior to joining Newark Academy, Lisa served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Graham Pelton Consulting, Inc., a full-service fundraising and nonprofit management firm. Lisa represents Newark Academy on the District II Board of Directors for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. She is also a member of the Advancement Steering Committee for the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University.
Associate Director of Donor Relations and Special Events
Lisa Mulligan has been the Director of Annual Giving and Parent Relations at Newark Academy since 2013. In this role, she creates strategy and executes solicitations to exceed a $1 million annual fund goal each year, and she cultivates relationships with individual parents as well as the Newark Academy Parent Association. Lisa joined the Newark Academy Advancement team in 2008 as the Office Manager, overseeing key initiatives in addition to the department's schedule, budget, and data entry and management.
Lisa has the opportunity at Newark Academy to apply more than 27 years of basketball coaching experience. She recently coached the Middle School boys' team, and previously was the assistant coach of the Upper School girls' varsity team. She also is a Newark Academy parent to Sean '12 and Will '19.

Evan Nisenson '99 joined the Advancement Staff in 2015 after nine years in University Development and Alumni Relations at New York University. While a student at Newark Academy, Evan discovered a great passion for music and was selected as an NJ Governor's School Vocal Scholar. He is thrilled to be back at Newark Academy working with such an incredible alumni community. In his spare time, Evan enjoys watching and making films; his NYU thesis film, The Collectors, is a short documentary that explores the reasons why people collect. Evan is always getting himself into unique situations, whether it's being a contestant on Wheel of Fortune or inviting Martha Stewart into his home, but most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family.
