Dear Newark Academy Community, 

We are delighted to share Newark Academy’s Impact Report for the 2024-25 school year. The outcomes highlighted in this report demonstrate the continued impact of your support. Academically, athletically and artistically, our students achieved remarkable success once again. The Class of 2025 distinguished itself with 62 members earning the IB Diploma, 23 inducted into the Cum Laude Society, and eight named National Merit Finalists. On the fields and courts, our athletics program secured 16 championships, and eight members of the Class of 2025 committed to pursuing their sport in college. Our Boys' Tennis team finished 23-0, won the SEC American Division Championship, the Essex County Championship, the State Sectional Championship and the Non-Public B State Group Championship and finished the season ranked #1 in the state. In the arts, our jazz band Chameleon won its 14th consecutive state title and placed in the top 10 at the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Festival. Twenty-nine NA students also earned 72 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in the East Region-At-Large 2025 competition.

Philanthropy, propelled by an incredible roster of volunteers and dedicated staff, played an equally vital role in shaping this successful year. Together, our community contributed $3,855,473 in support of Newark Academy. This total includes a historic record $1,563,492 from 1,225 donors to the Newark Academy Annual Fund, which directly sustains every part of school life, from financial aid and faculty development to the arts, athletics, student programs and sustainability. With regard to our endowment, donors made significant commitments to financial aid and named scholarships, teaching innovation grants and other restricted initiatives. These investments ensure that our faculty are supported and our students are inspired.
