NA Wins Seven Awards at the 2018 Yale Model Congress
30 members of Newark Academy Model Congress traveled to New Haven, Conn. this past weekend to compete in Yale Model Congress, a four-day governmental simulation. NA’s delegates won seven awards under the guidance of Ms. McNeilly-Anta ’93, Mr. Erlandson, and alumni Christopher Davis ’12.
Jessica Zheng ’20, Samarth Desu ’19 and Zach Kessel ’19 gaveled in their respective Committees. David You ’19, Lori Hashasian ’21 and Kennedy McNeilly-Anta ’20 were awarded Honorable Mentions for their debating skills in their Committees. Chris Lightcap ’20 earned Best Legislation award in his Committee.
