Thank you for your interest in Newark Academy. The deadline to submit the Online Admission Form (OAF) for the 2024-2025 school year has passed. If due to extenuating circumstances you were not able to complete the OAF by our stated deadline please contact admission@newarka.edu.

List of 6 items.

  • ONLINE ADMISSION FORM

    Due: December 1, 2023

Please complete our Online Admission Form (OAF). Once the OAF has been submitted and processed, the remaining steps will appear within your applicant checklist.
  • STUDENT INTERVIEW

    Schedule by: January 12, 2024

In order to get to know our candidates, as well as allow candidates a chance to ask their questions, we require all candidates to complete an interview with a member of our team.

Once the Online Admission Form (OAF) has been submitted and processed, candidates  will be eligible to self-schedule an interview through the candidate checklist. Interviews will be conducted in person unless it would be difficult for a candidate to come to campus. Please reach out to chernandez@newarka.edu if you need to schedule a virtual interview. We will not be conducting parent interviews, but will answer any questions that parents may have at the time of a candidate’s interview.

If you choose to do a Day Visit, the interview will be completed as part of your visit.
  • TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS

    Due: January 12, 2024

We require a teacher recommendation form be completed and submitted from each candidate’s current English and math teacher(s), as well as an academic teacher of choice. If a candidate has the same teacher for English and math, we require the teacher to complete a recommendation for each subject.

Families must send the recommendation forms to teachers electronically via the Candidate Admission Portal/Checklist. The recommendations forms will be available once the OAF has been submitted and processed.

Completed recommendations will be submitted directly to Newark Academy.

We recommend that families wait until December to ask teachers for recommendations so that they have the time to get to know the student.

  • FINANCIAL AID (IF APPLICABLE)

Ensuring that Newark Academy remains accessible and affordable to families of varying financial backgrounds is an institutional priority and NA awards around $4 million in need-based financial aid annually.

Newark Academy is proud to partner with Clarity to determine a family’s financial need. To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools. As Clarity is operated by a third party, Newark Academy is not able to provide fee waivers.

The deadline for completing the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is January 12, 2024 for prospective families.

If you need technical support, there is in-app support available as well as email support at support@claritytuition.com in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.
