BEN ZIMMERMAN ’19 WINS LITERACY AWARD

NA’s Ben Zimmerman won the 2017-18 Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization (PLATO) National High School Essay Contest, which is given to the best philosophical essays written by high school students. Along with being a member of PLATO, Ben is also a member of the American Philosophical Association, and the American Classical League, which inspired him to write his winning essay.

Ben’s essay was a response to this year’s prompt, which was an epistemological case-study. His particular response was influenced by the anti-foundationalist approach of Otto Neurath.
