Peer Leader Scavenger Hunt and Freshman Lock-In

Before being locked-in Newark Academy for the night, freshmen will be joined by their senior Peer Leaders for the Peer Leader Scavenger Hunt from 7:45-9:30 p.m. on Friday, November 9.

 

The Scavenger Hunt is an NA tradition that dates back several decades. Freshmen work together as a group along with senior Peer Leaders. In this activity, a grade-level and cross-grade level experience reinforces communication, teamwork and collaboration efforts. The groups each select a fun theme as a costume as a way of showing unity. During the event, they earn points for staying together, solving clues as a group and participating with goodwill and enthusiastic spirit.

 

Afterward, the freshman lock-in will go until early Saturday, November 10. Students will enjoy an ice cream sundae bar on Friday night and bagels and juice Saturday morning.
