Tough Loss for the Lady Minutemen

Sam Keller had 14 of her 24 points in the first quarter as NA went on an 8-0 run to end the quarter ahead 18-8. Veritas Christian Academy (14-1) came back in the second and outscored NA 17-8 to make it a one point game at the half. Leading into the fourth, the Lady Minutemen held onto their one point lead, but the score went back and forth by one point several times. An NA turnover with 31 seconds led to the VCA conversion and one point lead. Ivy Bethea gets two free throws with 15 seconds to play, makes one to tie the game. After a flurry of activity, VCA gets the ball under their basket with 8 seconds to play. Inbound the ball and Veritas gets a shot off from the corner for a three point buzzer beater win.Ivy Bethea finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 steals.
