NA Wins Season Debut

They arrived in Montclair with their captain and veteran player Ethan newly placed on the Disabled List. But the Minutemen vowed to play rival MKA with great focus and fervor. Despite the arctic breeze, chinook winds, and broken rays of sun wreaking havoc on their senses, the Minutemen stayed true to their word. Aidan & Jasper earned the first point of the day...of the season. Soon afterwards, Josh & Jean-Luc overcame a tough #1 pair and added a second point to NA's tally. Not to be denied, Captain Shivan & "Vroom-vroom" Singh rallied from a slow start to win the clinching point for the Minutemen. The drama wasn't over, though. On Court 4, "Nick" Nick & "Smiley" Luo began their match down 0-5. Then, the Minuteman alarm clock went off. They rallied to an 8-6 victory which, if you do the math, means they won 8 of the final 9 games. More heroism happened at #5 where our two 6th graders, "Steady" Eddie & "V-Wags", upset their 7th grade opponents. Congrats also goes to Ani & Simon and "J-Mo" & Aidan (again) for their solid wins.

Overall, it was a strong season debut for the Minutemen. They face Pingy tomorrow in their home opener. Arrive early to get a good seat.
