NA Boy’s Track and Field Wins Prep B

Newark Academy boys’ track and field won the Prep B Championship for the sixth-straight year, taking the title on May 6, 2019 while hosting the Prep B Track and Field Championships at Newark Academy’s campus.

“Track and field frequently is a sport that loves its all-stars,” coach Tim McCall said. “You have one or two really talented athletes and they can earn a lion's share of the points. While we had few athletes take firsts and seconds, the vast majority of our points came from boys who stepped up and scored in the back-half of the field: many 4ths, 5ths, and 6th place finishes helped shore up the larger point shares we earned from a few athletes. As a result, this victory genuinely was a full-team victory.”
