Freshman Selah Dungey Wins State Championship, Three More Minutemen Qualify for Track and Field Meet of Champions

Freshman Selah Dungey won the at the NJSIAA Non-Public B State Championship in the high jump on Saturday, June 1, 2019, as one of four NA track and field athletes to qualify for the NJ Meet of Champions (MOCs). Along with Selah, James Blume ’19 (pole vault), Jackson Powers ’20 (1600m), and Warren Sunada-Wong ’20 (3200m) qualified and will be competing in the MOCs Saturday, June 8 at Northern Burlington County Regional High School in Columbus, NJ.
 
In order to qualify for the MOCs, an individual needed to place in the top three in his or her event at the State Group Championship. Selah jumped 5-02, coming in first place, resulting in her being the Non-Public B State Champion in the high jump for this season. James came in second in the pole vault with 11-06; Jackson came in third in the mile with a time of 4:40.05, and Warren placed second in the 3200m with a time of 10:19:39.
