NA Celebrates 246th Convocation
On September 4, 2019, current and new Newark Academy students, faculty, administrators and staff came together for the school’s 246th Convocation. The annual ceremony is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the start of a new academic year also allowing NA to recognize its long-serving faculty. Alumni Jonathan Glynn '69, The Founding Director of Wings Over Haiti, was the keynote speaker, encouraging students to follow their passions.
“If there’s something that you love or you think you love, do your work, let your mind and your abilities go to the area that you’re interested and communicated that with people like your parents now. Let them help you. Get what you need to continue to do your work well, but just remember that life is all about finding opportunities, ” - Jonathan said.
An independent school for students in grades 6-12
