NA Has Successful Trip to Yale Model Congress
This past weekend 32 members of Newark Academy’s Model Congress team traveled to New Haven, CT to compete in YALE MC, a four-day governmental simulation. Nine delegates from NA won individual awards.
Mason Kung '22 and Kennedy McNeilly-Anta '20 earned awards for their debating skills in their respective Full Legislative Chambers. Loren Ashfield '22, Kayla Cohen '21, Jacqueline Rodriguez '21 and Kennedy McNeilly-Anta '20 earned Honorable Mentions for their debating skills in their committees. Juniors Mike Usatine, Lori Hashashian, and Micaela Alpert were awarded Best Legislation in their committees.
