NA Wins Home Opener!
Kate Fishbone had 10 points in the first half to help pace Newark Academy in the season opener. Leading 18-8 at the half, NA never relinquished the lead. Verona had a strong third quarter, outscoring the Lady Minutemen 16-9, but that three point margin was as close as they would get.
Fishbone led all scorers with 16 points, and had 4 steals. Zoe Hermans made her debut, with 8 points and 5 steals. Nora Gaby Biegel finished with 7 assists, 6 steals, and 6 rebounds, and Sofia Miller chipped in with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Kyra Hermans led all rebounders with 9 on the day. Great win!
