Three Newark Academy Students Selected to North Jersey Region Band

Maya Martos, 7th grade French Hornist; Jacob Tolentino, 8th grade trumpeter; and William Crall, a freshman tuba player were selected to perform with the North Jersey School Music Association North Jersey Region Bands on March 8 at Madison Jr. School. 7th grade French Hornist, Maya won first chair in the top group, auditioning against 21 other 7th, 8th, and 9th graders 8th grader, while Jacob, placed 4th out of 42 trumpeters and will also perform in the top ensemble. Freshman Tuba player, William, won first chair and will also perform with the top group.
