Newark Academy Wins Two Soloist Awards at Mingus Festival and Competition

Newark Academy seniors Vikram Bala and Teddy McGraw were awarded soloists awards at the Mingus Festival and Competition for playing bass and drums, respectively. The two are members of NA’s nationally renowned jazz band, Chameleon, which was able to work with several members of the Mingus Big Band and play with some of the top high school band programs in the country.
