In the Jazz World
Chameleon went on a three-day trip to NYC working with several musicians from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Basie Band and the Charles Mingus Orchestra. The NA Jazz Combo performed at the Charles Mingus Competition along with two other finalists in this prestigious national festival. Congratulations to Cosimo Fabrizio ’18 who received a soloist award.
Chameleon also found out they are one of 15 finalists for the 22nd Annual Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival. This is known as the "Super Bowl" of Jazz Band Competitions and bands from all over the US and Canada submit a recording to make the finals each year.
