All that Jazz!

Trombonist Reid Christmann ’18 has made the GRAMMY Big Band for the second consecutive year and will be part of an 18-piece big band comprised of some of the most talented high school jazz musicians in the country. Allen Zhu ’18 and Teddy McGraw ’20 made it to the finals of the audition process, out of hundreds of student musicians across the country.
The GRAMMY Band brings together the best high school jazz musicians in America for a week-long tour. The group will take part in the “GRAMMY Jazz Tour” during GRAMMY Week, featuring at premier jazz venues and official GRAMMY Week functions alongside GRAMMY Nominees, winners, and other music pros, as well as attend the GRAMMYs on January 28 at Madison Square Garden. The students, representing 18 cities in nine states, will travel to New York City for a seven-day musical adventure under the direction of Justin DiCioccio.
