Record number of participants in NA’s National Novel Writing Month

Forty-seven students and faculty participated in the Newark Academy version of National Novel Writing Month (NANOWRIMO) in November. Since the traditional goal of writing 50,000 words of a novel would be overwhelming for most people in the middle of a semester, the NA version allows participants to set their own goals. This year’s projects included short stories, journal writing, translations, children’s books, screenplays, novel writing, and poetry such as daily haiku, villanelle and “paradelle” (a parody of a villanelle). Congratulations to all who participated!
