NA Serves: A Day on, Not a Day Off

The Third Annual NA Serves will take place from January 6-21, 2018 and will celebrate both the Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day of Service and the generosity of spirit demonstrated by the NA community. The Community Service Council and Middle School Community Service Club have organized a variety of service opportunities and events to serve many of the organizations we work with locally throughout the year, with a special focus on the impact of national disasters. Click here for a list of events. (All events are subject to change. Check the Community Service bulletin board for updates.)
MLK Day is recognized as a federal holiday and as a national day of service and we hope to make it a “day on, not a day off.” Dr. King preached and believed in freedom and justice, encouraging citizens to live up to the potential that America holds by serving others in order to make our country a better place for all. The MLK Day of Service and NA Serves moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.” People all around the country are called to serve and work together attempting to turn Dr. King’s dream into a reality.
