An Eye-Opening Club Activity

Students in the Newark Anatomy Club learned how the parts of the eye function and how vision operates through a hands-on activity. Working in groups, they applied their knowledge in biology, physics, anatomy, and physiology to dissect a cow’s eye and gain a deeper understanding about human vision by drawing similarities between the cow and human eye. They also honed their problem-solving, laboratory, teamwork and communication skills.
