Minutemen down Wharton

The NA Middle School grapplers pull off their first victory of the season in a hard-fought contest in the friendly confines of their own wrestling room.  Two seventh graders, Dan Schwarz-Russo and Kyle Fink, got the Minutemen off to a strong start, pinning their opponents in the contest’s opening two matches.  Adrien Chouraqui ’22 kept his unbeaten streak alive picking up six points for the squad, and classmate Yihun Stith ’22 earned five team points winning his contest by technical fall.  The hard work of newcomers Logan Pak ’22 and Shreyas Hariharan ’24 paid off as they both pulled off wins for the first time in their young career; Pak ’22 won a gritty 5-0 decision and Hariharan’24 won his match by pin.  The Minutemen look to continue their 2018 in a rematch against the Big Blue of Pingry.
