NA Jazz Stars To Play at Benefit for Newtown Families

On April 13, from 7:30-9:30pm, NA’s jazz ensembles will perform in one concert in Rose Auditorium to raise money for families affected by the Sandy Hook Shootings five years ago. Several distinguished guests will perform as well, including saxophonist Jimmy Greene and guitarist Dave Stryker. Please see Mr. Tolentino for tickets, which are $10. All proceeds go to the Ana Grace Project. The concert is dedicated to Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, a first-grader who was a victim of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Ana’s parents are close friends of Julius Tolentino, Newark Academy's jazz director, and like many like many of the families, they have gone on a mission to prevent gun violence and to promote love and community.
