LumeNAtion Shines at the ICHSA Semifinal!

Newark Academy’s a capella group, LumeNAtion, recently competed in the International High School A Cappella, Mid-Atlantic Semifinal at Northern Highlands High School. This was their second time advancing to this round and out of nine groups at the regional semifinal, LumeNAtion came in fourth place behind two groups from Northern Highlands and one group from Appomattox HS, a Performing Arts Magnet in Petersburg, Virginia, who placed first. NA also received special recognition when Samantha Powell '19 received the Outstanding Soloist award. The Art Department extends our sincerest gratitude to the community for their support at this big event – and appreciated the cheering section, filled with members from the NA community.
