NA Mock Trial Wins Regional Championship

The NA Mock Trial team had advanced to the regional round after winning the Essex County Championship for the second-straight year, defeating Montclair Kimberley Academy on Thursday, February 16 at the Essex County Bar Association Courthouse in Newark, NJ. The Honorable Fabiana Pierre-Louis, the first Black woman to serve on the New Jersey Supreme Court, was one of the competition judges.

“Mr. Hawk and I are so proud of our amazing team and all of the hard work they have put into this competition season,” said Director of Equity and Inclusion Rochelle Edwards, a Mock Trial advisor along with faculty member Benson Hawk. “As some of the judges have said, ‘they are as good as any lawyer I have ever argued against in a real courtroom.’”
