GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY CAMP

Athletes of all skill levels will enjoy the exciting game of field hockey at this sports camp. Players will be grouped appropriately, according to ability and experience. The week will begin with instruction and training in the major fundamental areas of the sport and will progress to strategies, game concepts and teamwork. Participants will finish each session with a competitive game or activity based on skill level. Campers should bring mouth guards, grass cleats, stick, shin guards and face mask (optional)

Meet your Camp Staff

Camp Director Ian Wright is a USA Field Hockey Level 2 Certified Coach and is NFHS certified in coaching field hockey. With 15 years of on-field experience playing offense, defense and as a goalkeeper, Ian teaches players the required technical skills and rules, while instilling a passion for the game. He is the head coach for the Montclair Youth Field Hockey team, which is comprised of 40-60 girls in grades 5-8 (many players go on to play at the varsity level at Montclair High School). Previously, he was the assistant coach at Strokeline Field Hockey LLC Camps and the freshman coach at Montclair High School.
