Forensics is a science dedicated to the methodical gathering and analysis of evidence to establish facts. In this two-week course, students get a glimpse of how crime scenes are investigated. This discipline draws upon a variety of scientific principles, including biology, physics and chemistry. Topics covered include document examination, fingerprinting, autopsy techniques, pathology, biology, and toxicology. The laboratory portion of the course is designed to give students hands-on experience to reinforce the material.
