Author Dr. Michael Kaufman to Speak on Gender Equality at NA
On March 4, Dr. Michael Kaufman will speak to Newark Academy students on gender equality as part of the Global Speakers Series. Kaufman will be the fourth and final Global Speaker for the 2015-2016 academic year.
In just one generation, many age-old ideas about women have been swept aside. Dr. Kaufman will discuss changes in feminism and how students can react in positive ways to these momentous changes.
Dr. Kaufman, co-author of A Guy's Guide to Feminism, is one of the world’s leading male advocates of gender equality. For three decades he has worked with the United Nations, NGOs, private corporations and governments throughout the world to promote gender equality. He is the co-founder of the White Ribbon Campaign, a global movement of men and boys working to end male violence against women and girls.
