The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is a national organization founded in 1959 to serve the professional needs of all choir directors. The Association is divided into seven geographic regions/divisions, as well as fifty state chapters, each with its own conferences, newsletters, festivals, clinics, and workshops. ACDA promotes excellence in choral music through its workshops, symposia, choral program exchanges, international efforts, and especially through its conferences. The 2016 Eastern Division Conference will celebrate the boundary pushing choral traditions during three full days of interest sessions, group singing, and transformative concerts that will bring students closer together and leave them refreshed and inspired for the next year.
