NA’s Quiz Bowl Teams Score at Contest

Newark Academy students, coached by Faculty Advisor Norm Schafler, brought home trophies on January 20, when they competed at their first contest. The questions included the topics of Literature and Language, Arts and Entertainment, History and Geography, Science, Sports, Math, and more. The A team made it to the semi-finals, where they lost by a one-question margin. In addition to placing third out of 52 teams, our A Team won the North Jersey division of the competition.  The team the A team lost to in the semi-finals was Newark Academy's B team, which went on to the finals, where they, unfortunately, lost a close match.
