  • Upper School Academics

    • In 1991, NA was the first school in New Jersey authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. Coursework prepares students for 23 different IB exams across all subject areas. NA students had a 100 percent diploma pass rate in 2020.
    • In May 2020:
      • 157 students completed a total of 522 IB examinations.
      • 194 students sat for a total of 247 Advanced Placement (AP) tests.
    • 46 members of the Class of 2021 are pursuing the full IB diploma.
    • Approximately 90 percent of the Class of 2021 is enrolled in at least one IB course.
    • Approximately 65 percent of students enroll in art classes beyond the 1-year graduation requirement.
    • NA offers on average nine faculty-led Immersion Experiences across the country and around the world for rising 9th, 10th, and 11th graders.
