Newark Academy recognizes the value and benefit of a faculty and staff that is diverse in personalities, passions, points of view and cultural identities. The school’s current strategic plan
includes a mandate to assemble a faculty and staff composed of 30 percent faculty of color by 2023. In support of that initiative, NA’s academic leaders regularly attend targeted hiring conferences to identify talented teachers. Upon joining our community, educators benefit from NA’s Office of Equity and Inclusion’s
faculty/staff affinity groups that welcome both new and veteran NA educators through discussion, mentoring and support.
