Math Courses For Grades 6-12

  • Math Clinic for Grades 6-12

    Full Session Dates and Tuition: June 26 - August 4, $1000
    Session A Dates and Tuition: June 26 - July 14, $500
    Session B Dates and Tuition: July 17 - August 4, $500
    Times:
    8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am-12:30 pm; 1:00-3:00 pm


    In this course, math instruction will be offered at levels ranging from fundamentals of math to calculus. Skilled math teachers instruct and supervise students working individually or in small groups.
 

    Students can enroll in Math Clinic to preview course work or to review courses such as Fundamentals of Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.  Students may enroll in this course for the full six weeks or select a three-week enrollment only. 

    After choosing the Math Clinic course, you will need to specify whether your child will be doing a preview or review of the material. 
    For example, if your child is taking Algebra I next year, and you want a preview of the course, you will enroll in Math Clinic-Algebra I and then indicate preview when prompted.
    Students who wish to preview courses for the full six-week session can also enroll in the separate Math Preview Courses such as Algebra 1 Preview.  See FAQ Section for information on how the Math Clinic and regular previews differ.
  • Fundamentals of Mathematics for Grades 6-7

    Session Dates and Tuition: June 26– August 4, $1000
    Times:
    10:25 am - 12:30 pm

    This six-week course will cover the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions, decimals, and percents. The course also usually includes intuitive geometry and an introduction to Algebra I.

  • Pre-algebra for Grades 6-8

    Session Dates and Tuition: June 26– August 4, $1000
    Times:
    8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am-12:30 pm
     
    This six-week course will provide students with an opportunity to strengthen their basic mathematical skills, while working on an introduction to algebra. Students will be introduced to the algebra concepts of integers, equations, inequalities, and exponents; there is also a unit on informal geometry. Students enrolling in this course should have completed Fundamentals of Math.

  • Algebra 1 for Grades 7-9

    Session Dates and Tuition:
    June 26– August 4
    $2,000 - Advanced Credit
    $1,000 - Preview
    Times:
    Advance credit: 8:05 am-12:30 pm
    Preview course: 8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am-12:30 pm
     
    This six-week course will cover algebra in one and two variables through the solution of quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square, and by formula. This course will stress the structure and logical development of mathematics. Students enrolling in this course should have completed Pre-Algebra.   • Geometry for Grades 8-10

    Session Dates and Tuition
    June 26– August 4
    $2,000 - Advanced Credit
    $1,000 - Preview
    Times:
    Advance credit: 8:05 am-12:30 pm
    Preview course: 8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am-12:30 pm

    This six-week course will cover plane geometry with elements of analytic and solid geometry, nature of proof, development of theorems from definitions and axioms, constructions, original exercises and numerical examples, analytic geometry of the straight line, and the circle.   • Algebra 2 for Grades 9-11

    Session Dates and Tuition: 
    June 26– August 4
    $2,000 - Advanced Credit
    $1,000 - Preview
    Times:
    Advance credit: 8:05 am-12:30 pm
    Preview course: 8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am -12:30 pm 
     
    This six-week course will cover intermediate algebra with elements of analytic geometry and trigonometry, quadratic and higher degree equations, graphing inequalities, binomial theorem, series and sequences, arithmetic and geometric progressions, and mathematical induction. Students will be required to have a graphing calculator. Only advance credit students will cover trigonometry. Students enrolling in this course should have completed Algebra 1.   • Pre-calculus for Grades 10-11

    Session Dates and Tuition: 
    June 26– August 4
    $2,000 - Advanced Credit
    $1,000 - Preview
    Times:
    Advance credit: 8:05 am-12:30 pm
    Preview course: 8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am-12:30 pm

    This six-week course will review and study intermediate algebra, analytic geometry, function and inverse function, log and exponential functions, trigonometry, complex numbers, limits, continuity, and derivatives of polynomials. Students will be required to have a graphing calculator. Students enrolling in this course should have completed Algebra 2 with Trigonometry.

  • Calculus for Grades 11-12

    Session Dates and Tuition:
    June 26– August 4
    $2,000 - Advanced Credit
    $1,000 - Preview (Math Clinic only)
    Times:
    Advance credit: 8:05 am-12:30 pm
    Preview course: 8:05-10:10 am; 10:25 am -12:30 pm, 1:00 - 3:00 pm (Math Clinic)

    This six-week course will follow the AB curriculum. Topics will include analytic geometry, along with both differential and integral calculus. The course will spend a fair amount of time on the applications of the calculus. Students will be required to have a graphing calculator.  Students enrolling in this course should have completed Pre-Calculus.
